This cover was designed by F. V. Carpenter and has adding machines generating ribbons of tape. It is in very good condition with minor soiling but no deep creases, tears, scrapes, water damage, or chipping. The original Fortune magazine covers were printed using the gravure process on heavy paper. It gave the magazine the classy and special look that got subscribers to part with the $1.00 cover price in the middle of the depression.
