
 
Contemporary Haute Couture Jewelry - Pin or Brooch by Kenzo Takada - Made in France
Contemporary Rhodium plated sterling silver pin by Kenzo Takada made in France. This pin is accented with frosted glass and blue crystal stones. Kenzo Takada was one of the first male students at Tokyo's Bunka College of Fashion. After graduation, he moved to Paris to design. He presented his first show and opened his first store in 1970, and in 1972 he won the Fashion Editor Club of Japan's prize. Takada retired in 1999 and his clothing lines are now designed by Gilles Rosier and Roy Krejberg. The pin measures 2” x 1 1/2” and weighs 13.2 grams. It is in near perfect condition, the only problem is some wear of the finish on the clasp pin. The back is marked "Made in France" and signed Kenzo Paris.
