Vintage 1940's publicity photo to advertise the retail line of jewelry made by Joseff of Hollywood "Jeweler to the Stars". This period black & white photograph measures 8X10 and was printed on heavy paper stock. The back of the photo has a cut out piece of typing paper affixed to it with a caption that reads "Six strand necklace designed by Joseff for Harold Lloyd's new leading lady, Phyllis Welch. Worn by Arleen Whelan who is appearing in the Shirley Temple picture, "The Little Princess". Also on the back is an order number stamp, numbered in blue fountain pen ink, and another ink stamp that reads "For Display Only Not For Publication Joseff of Hollywood". This photo is in excellent condition with full margins and the watermark "© AVJ" does not appear on the actual photograph. This is a genuine period photo not a modern reprinting or photocopy.
